Serving God & TBR: What does the future of TBR look like?

Hey everyone, I have a little life update about TBR!

Over the past year, I have been reading my Bible and handed my life over to God. With that said, I have been praying over TBR for the last few months and asking for guidance on how to move forward with this bookstore business. I feel that God is calling me to use TBR to glorify Him and the books I am selling moving forward are going to reflect that mission.

So what does that look like?

TBR will still be selling all of our Christian Books and Romance Books. However, all of our romance books will now be closed-door/fade-away romance books. Some romance books may have Christianity in the story, some of them may not, but at the end of the day my goal is to only have books in the store that honor God. This means that there will be no explicit content, but our new romance books will still have plenty of swoon-worthy moments, romantic tension, and the magic of love stories.

I want to share that I am not shaming or judging anyone who is still reading spicier romance. I am still reading some spicier-ish books and skipping parts if gets too explicit, but selling those books alongside devotionals, testimonies, and the Bible doesn't sit right on my heart or glorify Him. I have been feeling convicted to put my spicy books down, so I have decided to listen to that feeling.

At the end of the day, I want to share the gospel and my love for love stories with TBR. I hope you will stay with me as I slowly make this transition to honor God with this business. With this move, I hope to also create a more masculine book line for all of our male readers out there! I don't know what the future of TBR looks like exactly, but I know it is all a part of God's plan for me.

This also means that starting May 1st all Fantasy and "spicy" romance items will be added to the 'Last Season' Collection and everything in it will be 40% off until we sell out!
